Pure Blue Pools was contacted by pool owners who had a tiled infinity edge pool that wasn’t functioning as it should. There was also a leak in the pool and a damaged safety cover that needed evaluating. The couple, who were grandparents, had extended family members and friends who often used the pool. They were therefore eager to get the pool refurbished so they could all enjoy using it again and take in the countryside views.

The Pure Blue team identified the cause of the leak which was down to the structural failure of the walls. The solution was to install a pool liner with compatible fixtures and fittings. Pure Blue also found the infinity edge wasn’t working properly due to inadequate installation of the balancing tank. A new 1500l balancing tank was fitted, complete with automatic top-up and overflow prevention measures.

The drop in water level due to the leak had damaged the safety cover, which was also adversely affected by strong winds which pulled the track out from the wall. The Pure Blue team managed to save the fabric and replace the damaged track, ropes and coping tiles to return the safety cover to working order.

The owners were so impressed with the refurbishment of their infinity edge pool that they also asked Pure Blue to solve problems they had with their cascading pond system.
