It was incredible to work on this sustainable pool, which is powered entirely by solar panels and battery storage.
The clients themselves are thrilled with the outcome, especially how the area has been transformed into a fantastic social setting. They love hosting, and now their pool is the perfect gathering spot for family, friends, and all the children.
Our clients’ wish was to have full-width steps installed in their swimming pool without losing any of the pool’s length. We therefore enlarged the existing pool so as to not remove any valuable swimming space.
We also handled the installation of a new Aquamatic automatic recessed safety cover. That part of the job required precision: we had to remove the surrounding coping stones to fit the tracks and then construct an inground concrete pit at the deep end to neatly house the roller when the cover is open. We even relocated the existing plant room to free up space for the new pool house the clients were having built by their own team.
We owe a huge thank you to our two wonderful clients; they were a joy to work with – so open to our suggestions and always making informed decisions quickly.
We also have to give a massive shout-out to Steve and Luke, the clients’ builders. It’s rare to find such fantastic cooperation on-site; they were true professionals, working around our schedule and always showing genuine curiosity and insight into our specialised work. When you have skilled craftsmen on both sides of a project, it really helps the whole job flow seamlessly.
Pure Blue Pools completed the main construction last year (2024) but recently finished the final connections after winterising and re-opening the pool, and we’re very proud of the final results.
